Pros
- One-step evaluation with no time limit to pass — reach the 6% target at your own pace.
- Fast, on-demand payouts with a low $250 minimum, typically processed by the next business day, and over $10M in verified payouts reported.
- Choice of established trading platforms: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView and Jigsaw Trading.
- Flexible drawdown handling on Quick Pay — pick an intraday or end-of-day trailing calculation to suit your style.
- Established firm, operating since 2020 from Chicago with a 15,000+ trader community and public Trustpilot reviews.
Cons
- Trailing max drawdown is tight (roughly 3–4% of account) and stops trailing only once it reaches the starting balance, so a losing streak after a peak can end the account quickly.
- A per-day consistency cap (no single day above 30% of total profit on Quick Pay, 45% on Fast Pass) prevents relying on one big winning day.
- Quick Pay Funded Sim starts on a reduced 50/50 split until total profit exceeds $4,000, only reaching 80/20 above that.
- Futures only — no stocks, spot forex, spot crypto, or CFDs.
- Monthly subscription fees are recurring and non-refundable except where required by law.
TradeDay FAQ
Is TradeDay a legitimate prop firm?
TradeDay is a futures prop trading firm founded in 2020 and based in Chicago, Illinois. It reports over $10M in verified payouts, thousands of funded traders and a public Trustpilot presence. Like other prop firms it is not registered with the SEC or CFTC, and evaluation and funded trading are conducted on simulated then live-funded accounts.
How do payouts work at TradeDay?
Funded traders can request payouts on demand with a $250 minimum. Requests submitted before 5:30pm ET are aimed to be processed by the next business day. Quick Pay Funded Sim pays 50/50 below $4,000 total profit and 80/20 above it, rising to 90/10 in Funded Live; US bank wires are free while international wires and crypto carry small fees.
What is the drawdown rule?
Each account has a trailing maximum drawdown. On Quick Pay you can choose an End-of-Day or Intraday calculation; on Fast Pass it is always End-of-Day. The limit trails your account's highest balance and keeps rising until it reaches the starting balance, after which it locks. Breaching it ends the account. There is no separate daily loss limit.
Is there a time limit or minimum trading days?
There is no time limit to complete either evaluation. Quick Pay requires a minimum of 5 trading days; Fast Pass has no minimum trading-day requirement. You must reach the account's 6% profit target while staying within the trailing drawdown and the daily consistency cap.
Which platforms and instruments can I trade?
TradeDay supports Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView and Jigsaw Trading, and covers exchange-listed futures and micro futures only. Account sizes are $50K, $100K and $150K, with contract limits scaling from 5 to 15 contracts.
